Afghanistan poll

The vast overwhelming majority approve of the Taliban being overthrown and think their country is heading in the right direction.

As a rule, I don't like poll data, and I despise politics based on polling. But with all the polls recently that have called for the US to pull out of Iraq, I thought it only right that I mention this poll conducted in Afghanistan.

I won't quote from it, you can read it and make of it what you will. But I will cite the numbers.

77% of Afghanistan think that the country is moving in the right direction versus 6% who think it is moving in the wrong direction.

87% think that the overthrow of the Taliban was a good thing versus 9% who think it was a bad thing.

Interesting numbers there.
