Marriage Protection Amendment


Looking at the criticism.

Of course it was a tactic.

Of course it was catering to the base.

And of course, it never was going to pass.

The real question is how was it different than anything the Democrats have pulled in the last few years.

Amazing what one is willing to overlook if you think the politicos are on your side.

I've news for you.

They aren't on your side, no matter what they say.

And they never were.

The one thing I would ask you to remember here is that the Federal government has no power to define a religious ceremony. I consider that to be the real threat. After all, once the FedGovs start defining something, it's just a step or two away from funding the "acceptable" versions.

Just ask the public schools.
