Another infamous trial balloon

A leading politician tests the waters of "moderation" to soften her image, all while setting up a draft movement

Here we go again. This is the same tactic that her husband's political team used to pull.

The only reason why the Former First Lady turned Senator wants the leadership post is so she can use it as a springboard to the Presidency. This "trial balloon" is to see how well the idea plays with the public.

And since it wasn't an American paper that broke the story, she has full deniability if it doesn't play well in Peoria.

Assuming she wins this next election, somebody is pulling some major strings behind the scenes. Who ever heard of a sophomore Senator getting the leadership post? Heck, who ever heard of a freshman Senator getting the plum committee assignments that this lady has?

It's certainly not because of her competence.

Things don't happen that fast and that well for people unless something is greasing the skids. But that is history with this woman as well.

She may be absolutely brilliant. But there are too many things that happen in the shadows around this lady for me to trust her. She goes through the motions of democracy, only to use the process as justification for her predetermined results. Meanwhile, liberty wanes and no one "in charge" is quite sure why.

By most accounts, she was the senior political operative in her husband's administrations, stretching right back to the governorship.

I refuse to mention her name her because the lady is tainted goods. She is not good for her party, and I see no reason to believe she would be good for the country.
