Election wrap up

It wasn't a win or loss, it was marginal

As I told juliaki, politics are not my passion.

Freedom is my passion.

This past election was not about the Republicans losing or the Democrats winning.

The results convince me that if the Republicans had kept their promises and cleaned up after their own messes, they would still hold a majority in both houses.

This was a marginal win, just as the 2004, 2000, and every other election going back to Ike.

The American people vote for personalities, not party politics.

This election was about honor.

Based on the personalities in charge, I'm willing to be that the House will swing back to the Republicans in 2008. The Democrats spend too much time pandering to their radicals.

I would have loved to have seen neither major party have a majority in either house. Under their own rules, they wouldn't have been able to elect leadership.

As it is, deadlock isn't a bad result.

Unless you are trying to rule, of course.
