DOPA dies a painful death

It looks like the Deleting Online Predators Act won't be resurrected for the new Congressional term.

If it had passed, DOPA would have required schools and public libraries to prevent minors from using the internet where they might see "indecent" materials or exposed to sexual advances or language. That pretty much wipes out everything from Sports Illustrated to the raciest sites. Even discussions on birth control would have to be screened.
