*shakes head*

I am not even sure what to make of this, except it must have been a slow news day.

I can't quote the link, but come on!

It's a MOVIE for crying out loud.

When the U.S. military is made up of clones and energy weapons are standard issue, then I will worry.

Until then, I think someone is trying to stir things up.

Now, I haven't seen the film, but I am a movie geek and I sometimes check out the fanboy sites. I know that the Jedi and their procedures were more responsible for Anakin's fall then anything that the proto-Emperor did. Go back and watch the first two prequels. See how blind and unadaptable the Jedi Council was, even when confronted directly with the heart of darkness.

Using the same logic that the folks at Cannes used, I could claim that the movie shows the ineffectiveness of the United Nations, even when presented with obvious evil.

But it is only a movie. And just like Luke Skywalker discovered in The Empire Strikes Back, sometimes the evil you see is what you carried into the darkness with you.
