The first brute force Vista attack

Do you suppose there is something that Micro$oft isn't telling it's customers?

Ordinarily, this wouldn't be news. But the prime selling point for Vista has been how secure it makes your computer.

Oops.

To be honest, diversification is probably one of the best things you could do with system software to make it secure. Let one company provide the OS, another provide the browser, and a third to provide security monitoring and some basic defense. That would make it less likely that one attack could sideline your whole computer.

But Micro$oft doesn't see it that way. That would mean that customers got to choose.
