Conservative groups go after hotel pay-per-view

Using law to force morality

I get so tired of people trying to force THEIR choices down everyone else's throats.

Like this.

Pornographic movies now seem nearly as pervasive in America’s hotel rooms as tiny shampoo bottles, and the lodging industry shows little concern as conservative activists rev up a protest campaign aimed at triggering a federal crackdown.

A coalition of 13 conservative groups — including the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America — took out full-page ads in some editions of USA Today earlier this month urging the Justice Department and FBI to investigate whether some of the pay-per-view movies widely available in hotels violate federal and state obscenity laws.

You know what I find obscene? People making religious and moral choices for other people no matter what those other people choose for themselves. What do you think the likelihood is that someone will try to outlaw THAT?

If you don't like pornography on the hotel television, then DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON. The TV doesn't turn on to the "sex channels" by accident.

How hard is that to understand?

It's none of your business what people do in their hotel room.

It's none of your business what people do in their home.

Unless it hurts someone else, it's none of your business. Period.

I can use the same justification to go after self-righteous Bible thumpers. A group that thankfully DOESN'T include the vast majority of Christians. After all, they are showing the same symptoms as any "porn addict."
