❝❝I do have a crazy scheme for taxes. Give the Federal government a national sales tax but keep the total of any taxes to no more than ten percent. Give states ten percent of ALL Federal taxes collected within the states and the Federal government ten percent of ALL OTHER taxes collected. That makes them both mutually dependent and eager to audit the other guy's books. And it keeps the individual taxpayer citizen out of the mess.❞❞
