Attacking sex

The pornography war

Regardless of your feeling about pornography, the fact that someone wants to define for you what is and is not obscene should raise all sorts of warning flags.

They want to protect you, they want to protect the children, they want to protect the institution of marriage, they want to protect our culture.

And all that it will cost you is your freedom to choose.

Now admittedly, my views of sexuality are not the same as everyone else. But just what is obscene?

To certain Muslim extremists, a woman showing anything except her eyes in public is obscene.

There is not a human living today that doesn't owe their existence to sex.

As far as a woman's exposed breasts, well, appreciation for that one is hardwired into the biology.

Just like any other form of prohibition, the major problems aren't caused by the presence of pornography. The problems are caused by repression.

If you are offended by the mere presence of sex, that is YOUR problem, not your neighbors. What consenting adults do or watch is none of your business.

And if you make it your business, what is to stop them from making YOUR business their business?
