Congress trots out amnesty for illegals

Ignoring history.

Well folks, Congress just sold you down the river again.

When is amnesty not amnesty? When Congress calls it a compromise.

Doublethink. Doublespeak. Doublepay.

Double nonsense.

It's 1986 all over again.

And of course the amnesty program was just so terribly effective then.

So much so that we don't have to deal with the bigger problem now.

And this one will work twice as well.

And at least three times as well as the 1996 law.

Frankly, I am not sure we can survive that much success.

Okay, maybe that was TOO sarcastic.

Let's see. 1960s immigration reform. 1980s immigration reform. 1990s immigration reform. 2000s immigration reform.

Anyone else notice a pattern here? An accelerating pattern? One that requires more and more government intervention just to maintain?
